If you wish to make your own from scratch, a few choice steps and instructions here might help:
- Narrow your ideas as much as possible
- remember, you have less than 250 words. focus on the idea or plot you want to write and stick with that --this isn't a time to explore that less-traveled road
- Check your word count consitantly!
- it's easy to get carried away/go overboard, double-checking how many words you have is a necessity.
- Try avoiding adjectives and adverbs
- yes, they make things pretty, but they fill up your word count as well and length is not something you can sacrifice with drabbles

- use that inspiration to even make your own challenge!
- you don't even have to write a drabble to issue the challenge, just be a member or administrator of some writing site (*cough* Livejournal *cough*)
