Eligibility & Application
ELIGIBILITY
A candidate for scholarship must be an active snow sport instructor in good standing with PSIA/AASI during the Snow Season in which an application for scholarship is submitted and must have taken or will take a certification exam during the same Snow Season.
SNOW SEASON DEFINED
The SNOW SEASON refers to one winter season commencing November 1 and ending on the immediately following May 31.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Each candidate must complete the APPLICATION FORM and submit a fully completed APPLICATION FORM no later than the Deadline. The application requirements are contained in the APPLICATION FORM. [Acrobat Reader needed to view Application Form. [Get Acrobat Reader.]
APPLICATION SUBMISSION
All applications for scholarship must be turned into the President of the Scholarship Fund.
DEADLINE
Deadline for submission of the application is March 1 in the applicable Snow Season.
SELECTION
The President is the Chair of the Selection Committee. The President selects members to serve on the Selection Committee. After all applications are submitted, the Selection Committee meets, reviews the applications and makes the selection of scholarship recipients. The Selection Committee decision is final.
AWARDS
Scholarship Selections are announced at the end of the Snow Season but before the year-end PSIA/AASI-W annual convention.
