Tidbits and Facts
I don't play games often, but when I do, I like to
know how to play it as best as possible. If you've looked for Sims
facts, you will find you come to block after block on ways to help you play
this game. I made this page because I've
always found it near impossible to find out all I need on the web about The Sims Makin'
Magic, and when I did, it was tidbits of information strewn about and always
incomplete. Please feel free to look around and use the info listed to
help you better your game. Here I will list as much as I can of what I
have learned from playing the game and researching the game. HAVE FUN.

GENERAL GAME PLAY TIPS BELOW THIS TABLE!

Remember:
1k in Sim dollars - ctrl+shift+c then type 'rosebud'
gives you $1,000 sim dollars.
Unlimitied money - To make more than 1k, do
rosebud first, press enter, then do ctrl+shift+c again and type
!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;1 and hold down your enter button until you reach a number
of money you want. When you reach that number, delete the 1 and press
enter one last time.
Building House Tips - Press CTRL and
hold it and go back over what you just did if you want to undo something.
If you want to paint or floor a whole room at once, press shift while clicking
on the room. You need to have a fire alarm in any room that has a stove or
fireplace. You also should have a burglar alarm in any room that leads to
outside incase a burglar comes. When a burglar comes or you have a fire,
all your options to save, buy, make house disappear until the burglar is caught
or the fire is put out.
Extra Skill Points - When creating your sim,
create them as a child first, then click on their photo and then edit. Now
make them an adult. This will only work if the first thing you create them
as is a child. If you create them as an adult, go to edit, turn to child,
and then back again to adult, this will not work.
Getting a Job - Read the paper left at your
house at 9:00 to see one job listing. Get a computer and check it to see
three job listings.
Getting Friends - In order to make friends,
there have to be other houses in your neighborhood with people in them.
Then they can visit you. Once you've met them, you can call them on the
phone to talk or invite them over to your house. To make friends, you need
to talk to them, don't compliment them until you have 20 friend points or you
will anger them. Don't hug them until you have 60 points. Buy
presents in town if you can so that you can give them to people to help your
friend points go up quicker.
Getting Skill Points -
Cooking - Get them to make canned good,
churn butter, make honey or study from a book case.
Mechanical - Get your Sim to study
from a book shelf, or to use a Mechanical table making gnomes.
For logic, the best tool to use is a
telescope. But watch out, if your Sim looks through it at night, they
have the chance to be beamed up by aliens, and their personality points will
change.
Charisma - Get your Sim to practice on the
Shakespeare book stand, or talk in the mirror.
Physical - Your Sim will either have to work
on an exercise machine, or swim a lot.
For Creativity - Get your Sim to paint on
their easel or to play the piano or guitar.
Keeping Sim Happy -
Hygiene - Take a bath/shower, wash hands,
brush teeth
Fun - Play computer, game, swim
Energy - When your Sim is tired, they will
need to sleep
Bladder - Your Sim will have to use the
washroom on average two times a day
Hunger - Remember to feed your Sim at least
once a day, twice is preferable
Social - Your Sim needs to interact with
people daily in order to be happy
Comfort - You get a bad back? Your
Sims can too, make sure you have comfortable chairs and beds.
Room - If your room has no pretty things,
your Sim won't like the room. Add paintings, statues or rugs
