So what do your stars mean?  And how in the world can you tell what to do next?  And how come some people give you no stars towards your star power, and some give you 4 or 5?

Well there are 11 levels to your stars.  They start at level 0 and go up by half points until you reach level 5.  Level 5 is the top, at which point you are a Superstar.  The green diamond above your head will turn into a star whenever you are clicked on another Sim when you reach Superstar level.

Now, you will notice as you advance, it will say in your job profile how many Star Friends you need, otherwise known as Star Power.  In order to make sure you are making friends that will help you get Star Power, read the Daily Tabloid to find out who's hot.  The higher on the list they are, the more points you get.  Their points are like your points.  If they are a Trendsetter, they will give you 3.0 Star Power, if they are a Superstar, they will give you 5.0 Star Power.  But beware that your numbers may change, even if your friendships stay the same.  The people change Star Levels every day, and as they change, so will your Star Power numbers.  When you are starting out in Star Points, you will only be able to talk to people close to your Star Level, otherwise you will have little to talk about. That is unless you have Sims Makin' Magic, in which case, you can cast Happy Face on them and they will become an instant friend.  :)  One way to make sure you're making friends with someone that can help your Star Power is to find people with the last name Somebody.  On mine, people that top the list often are Mary Somebody, Keppal Somebody, Audrey Somebody, Jason Somebody, and Linda Somebody.  If they have the last name Somebody, it doesn't automatically mean they will get you a lot of points, but they will usually help.
