     Doyle

Kendra is my pen name when I write.  Doyle is my cat.  That is how I got the name Kendra Doyle.

Why does Doyle mean so much to me?  Am I one of those crazy cat ladies that cares about nothing besides her cat?  No.  But Doyle does mean A LOT to me.  Why?  Because he saved my life, and I saved his.  He saved my emotional and spiritual life, and I saved his physical and emotional life.  God sent us to each other when we desperately needed each other.  Because of this need we had for each other at the beginning, it created a bond between us that most people can't understand.  Many people love my cat, it's funny, sometimes people come to visit here not to see me, but see my cat!  :)  He is sweet, and very cute.  He's had a hard life and is appreciative of all he has.  My friends just love him and think he's the cutest cat alive.

God made us for each other.  Doyle seems to think that because there are no men in the house, he's the man of the house.  He exercises this right every night when he thinks I'm tired.  He literally tells me when it's time for me to go to bed.  LOL  I thought he was crazy at first, always telling me when to head off to bed, but I've come to realize he knows when I'm tired before I do.  God sure has blessed him with knowledge about me.  Doyle knows when I'm tired, cuddles with me when I'm sick, sticks closer than a friend when I PMS and get down, sits at my Bible while I do devotions, sleeps with me when I nap or sleep, and loves to play with me when I'm happy.  He's very in tune with me, from any other animal I'd think it was crazy, but God made him compliment me very well.  I am truly blessed, and from a cat! :)

In return, I know Doyle's schedule, I know he has to have his litter cleaned daily because he won't go in a dirty litter pan, and so will hold it in and make himself sick.  I know he has to have water in a glass bowl and fresh food every day.  I know he needs to have things stay pretty much the same around him or he gets nervous.  I understand that he can't have anyone yelling at him, that he's nervous of men, and to respect the fact that he's extremely head shy, but then again, so am I, if not more so than him.  I am amazed at the lessons God has taught me because of this little fur ball my friends affectionately call "Butch" because he's a munchkin cat, and so looks chubby, even when he came to me starved almost to death.

Thank God for miracles that come in small packages! :)
