Program Units
DOVE (Develop Our Valuable Earth) is a non-government development organization, which promotes sustainable social and economic development by working with the local community through development programs in Health and Environment, Education and Training, Community Organization and Poverty Reduction.
COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION
The community organization unit mobilizes the community to organize and undertake its own development activities to improve quality of life. The unit supports and facilitates the community in its capacity building, institution building, program planning and execution, development of linkages and resource mobilization. The unit undertakes development projects in collaboration with the community.
POVERTY REDUCTIUON
The unit designs, develops and implement income and employment generation projects and programs. The unit helps the unemployed and needy to establish small enterprise. The unit also imparts vocational, small-scale enterprise development and marketing skills training to equip the unemployed for gainful employment.
HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT
Health and Environment unit runs awareness programs by producing literature, education material and organizing workshops, seminars, training etc. It also supports community in the provision and establishment of health facilities at the doorsteps and undertakes environmental activities to promote healthy and pollution free environment. It lays special emphasis on the education of children regarding healthy lives through the establishment of clubs in the schools.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
The education & training Unit produces Education and Training Material and organizes training for the capacity building of the community and professionals. It also runs literacy program to serve the cause of education. The unit has its internship program, which provides opportunities to the students of different institutions and universities to equip themselves with practical knowledge for future jobs.
