The hip and edgy young documentary film-maker, Dixie Kweefe, brings you his latest film, about the self-styled spiritual guru, Lillian Luplips. It's been a while since Lillian had a taste of the big time in his native United States, and this is why he agreed to travel across the atlantic to teach a class of us brits. Lillian style certainly hasn't mellowed over the years, if anything he's more hate-fuelled than ever, and Dixie is ready behind the camera to capture it all. How will he get on with the class? 24th October - Filming Diary
The bulk of the film is shot in a Scout Hall of all places. We wrapped up filming there a couple of weeks ago. We started filming about 3 or 4 months ago I think, and we filmed at the hall five times, on various weekends. It's always hard getting that number of people together (especially on the weekend) but I think we'd all agree that it's been a lot of fun, and finger crossed it will all have been worth it when we watch the finished article.
Now we just have to work on the scenes that tie these bits together and getting the editing finished. We've filmed far more than we are going to use so we have a lot to play with, and hopefully we'll end up with a very tight film because of this.
Personally I think it flows much better than anything we've done previously and, most importantly, it's very funny!
