Founded in 1948 as the first interstate compact for education, SREB leads the nation in services to students and educators, from K-12 to doctoral studies.



LEAD - Leading Education Achievement in Districts

SREB received a three-year grant from the Wallace Foundation in 2002 to work with 12 urban school districts and their university partner(s) to redesign a school leadership preparation program that prepares current and future principals to lead urban schools.

SREB provides technical assistance and instructor training to support the LEAD districts and their partners.
