The U.S.S. Prudhoe Bay, the only Cor de Lion class Battleship ever produce by the fleet.
The Prudhoe Bay is the prototype ship that starfleet designed as a single mobile battle force.  Her hull contains newly developed fighters and photon torpedo bombers for strike missions beneath enemy radar and phaser fire, as well as an impressive arsenal of phaser banks powerful enough to level a planet!
Besides standard issue starfleet phasers, the Prudhoe Bay boasts six phaser cannons, originally created to defend starbases from Klingon Battleships.  Four front and two rear cannons ensure that the Prudhoe Bay will return from any mission she and her crew undertake.
Despite her apperance, the Prudhoe Bay only houses a little more than 200 crewmen and seventy five marines within the main hull.  The secondary hull is hollow and houses the vast array of fighters and bombers, as well as pilot quarters.  There are roughtly seventy-five fighters and fifty bombers on board with a compliment of one-hundred fifty members of the flight crew.  Engineering is housed totally within its own secondary  hull, with only Jeffries Tubes and service hatches leading toward the rear nacelles.
A recent refit has added ten warp capable shuttles and an additional dozen "Imp" class warp one capable mini shuttles.
Although not designed to act as a science vessel, the Prudhoe Bay was refit on stardate 8770.2 with several banks of sensors and array that are on par with most heavy destroyer class ships currently in service.
