Miami is home to the very disappointing Miami Heat!!
The Miami Heat were eliminated in there first round series against the streaky Charlotte Hornets. The series only lasted three games, as the Charlotte Hornets swept through Miami 3-0 with all lobsided victories.
Numerous offseason trades and signings last year were supposed to bring the Miami Heat a championship team, instead disappointment for the fourth straight year. The Heat brought in SG Eddie Jones (pictured), PF/C Brian Grant, SF/PF Anthony Mason, SF Cedric Ceballos, PF AC Green, SF Ricky Davis, Rookie PG Eddie House; all to go along with All-Star and Olympians Alonzo Mourning and Tim Hardaway. A projected starting lineup saw power mix with finese: PG Hardway, SG Jones, SF Mason, PF Grant, with C Alonzo Mourning as the centerpiece. For whatever reason this lineup just quit and showed no heart as the Hornets ripped through them. Expect more trading this offseason as the Miami Heat target Chris Webber and Gary Payton.
