Once in the Garden of Eden a fire happened. Actually that was not a real fire, just a small flame. It took five minutes or so to quench it with ambrosia and incenses. And everything could be splendid if, to her own harm, just that time one cat wasn�t practicing in chasing. So as she pretended to catch a paradise bird, she stepped in the center of the fire. The fire was divine, so she survived. But her coat burnt instantly and completely, since this fire destination is to disclose the very essence of the existing.
The cat felt nothing at all but, frightened by the mess, hid in the paradise bush. And when she settled down, she was going to clean her coat as is in the custom with cats, but she found out that she is completely naked. At first the cat thought that it was an illusion. Why; you ask, this can easily happen when someone inhales a bit more of incensory smoke. So she scrunched up her eyes, enumerated all the paradise mice one by one, took a deep breathe and opened her eyes again hoping to see herself fluffy as usual. It may of been because she missed some mice, maybe because of some other omission, but she again did not see her hair. As if she had never had it at all.
This cat, possessing a frisky nature and an irrepressible curiosity, used to get into different affairs, but yet there hadn�t been an occasion when she was naked. The thing that happened seemed so shocking and striking, that the cat stayed under the bush during three paradise days, more dead than alive. When the fourth morning came, the striped feline Archangel Michael; being very surprised by such a lasting fright of the Paradise dweller, came up to check her and to take her out of the bush. But as he saw her, he even choked with a paradise mouse tail and hastened to present the cat to God.
God looking at such wonder couldn�t help smiling. But as He noticed the cat�s shudder and embarrassment, He hurried to investigate the story. Revealing the truth in the cat�s words, He right then decided: despite the cat looks like she has no shame, she has kept the soul of an angel and the supernatural nature. However, she can�t stay here, in Eden, anymore, because the incident may encourage the rest cat-ladies and tomcats to think this is the new fashion and to take off their hairy coats. It should be said, that to that moment the news about the incident, had been already discussed by at least a half of Paradise garden dwellers. And indeed some of the cats began to think of jumping into the paradise fire in order to improve their being in the tropical climate.
Therefore God told to send the cat down from heaven. He knew that people had a Heart for an every odd wonder. Therefore her life would be filled with love and prosperity. But in order to prevent her from putting on hairs because of her exclusiveness, He commanded her posterity to be born sometimes naked, sometimes - partially undressed and sometimes � just as ordinary cats. And this is the way it goes.
Before the journey the cat filled her tummy with every paradise dainties, so while the angels descended her from heaven, she was pretty heavy and her soft skin was a bit stretched and became folded and wrinkled. The children of her inherited her supernatural glance, therefore people say � no other breed of cats has such eyes. And the fingers became longer because during the descending the cat tried to grasp a star - to keep as a souvenir... This is how the Donskoy came from the heavens...........
