by Veronica

Donna Summer is not only a hit on the concert stage and on the music charts---she is brilliant in the kitchen, as well. Here, Donna shares her recipe for Baked Lasagna.

Baked Lasagna

Saut the meat and sausage in hot olive oil and break it up into small particles. Add the sauce and allow to cook for 20 additional minutes. Season to taste. Bring 6 quarts of water to a rapid boil. Add 2 tablespoons of salt and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the pasta (2 or 3 strips at a time) to boiling water and cook for 12 minutes. Add 1 glass of cold water to stop the cooking process. Drain and return pasta to cooking pot, adding a little warm water to ease the handling. Spread a few layers of sauce - just a few tablespoons, really - on the bottom of your baking dish; cover with the pasta; place a layer of ricotta and Mozzarella cheese over the pasta…add sauce, and continue to arrange in this manner, ending with a layer of pasta on top. Cover dish with foil (crimp around the edges) and bake in a moderate oven (375) for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 5 additional minutes. Serve hot!

Veronica is the fan of all Donna fans! She has seen and met with  Donna all over the globe for the last 25 years.
