Aim and purpose
To give learners an understanding of database systems as well as the practical skills to translate that
understanding into the design and creation of databases.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this unit a learner should:
1 Understand the principles of database systems
2 Be able to create non-relational database systems
3 Be able to use database software tools.
