What is the Pocky Project?

The mission of the Pocky Project is to bring beginning and amateur movie makers, music artists, script writers, video editors, animators, actors, etc. from different cities across the United States, and possibly from other countries, together to make a no to low budget experimental movie. This project is for fun and will also give participants valuable experience in acting, directing, filming, etc. There are places for anyone interested whether it is behind the camera or in front of it. Fill out an application to get involved now (yes, RIGHT NOW)!

Project Status - Recruiting, Filming, Video Editing, Promoting

I returned from vacation on the 24th and have been working ever since. Over our vacation we did film the rest of the Officer Jenny stuff thus two new cities have been added to the list found on the Members page, and the Filming page has been updated accordingly. An actor for Random Guy was also found. The Members and Application pages have been updated accordingly. The Character Descriptions page on the Freewebs site was also updated as it was very out of date. The Insert Hell page was also updated a little since we filmed the Officer Jenny stuff so fast that we missed some inserts. Potentially bad for the film, but good for me and members who have to film them. ^_^

Now, without further ado, I present the June screenshots that no one saw coming. All of them are from the Officer Jenny footage for the California team and myself to reference. Six of the screenshots from last month were also edited a little. The pictures that have "Edited" written after them have information on where exactly characters are going to be inserted or where shown character will be inserted into other footage. All the original pictures have been left for your viewing pleasure. Some Officer Jenny pictures will get a similar treatment when next I post screenshots.

When will screenshots come again? I'm kind of playing it by ear at this point since I don't know when I'll be filming Mysterious Lady stuff. I'm supposed to recieve more footage from the California team tomorrow, but most of it is a backup copy of footage I already have. Pictures showing off special effects are also in short supply since I haven't downloaded the Adobe After Effects free trial yet. I believe I will have 24 hour access to it in college though, so that's good. ^_^

The May screenshots are now up on the Screenshots page. Most of them are Jessie insert shots for the California team to reference, but there is also the first ever obvious blooper screenshot. Also on the Internet is a video containing a sneak preview and the second teaser trailer for Pocky Monsters found here. The list of videos on the Members page has been updated accordingly. The movie budget has bumped up to almost $2,000 with my purchase of wireless microphones and a new camera. It wont get much use in Pocky Monsters, but keep an eye out for the technological advances we make in the next Somewhere in Montana film.

My computer seems to be back in order only now I must fend for myself when it comes to finding decent video editors as I have graduated from high school and no longer have access to the Mac lab. All will be well though as long as the footage keeps coming. I am going on vacation to the coast for the rest of the month, so I doubt there will be any new screenshots for the month of June. For all of you working on the movie out there, good luck. I return on the 28th.

Today, we have an update for the Ash, Team Rocket, and Nurse Joy posters. They are now typo free and without the old movie title. We filmed again yesterday and finished the remaining Team Rocket scenes. Thursday last week, the Mewtwo audio was recorded as well. The Filming and Members pages have been updated accordingly. In other news, I just had more major computer problems. New screenshots in less than a week is questionable.
