Helen began her career as a florist working for Theresa O'Shea in Brisbane. Since then her love of colour, design and texture have led her to spinning, weaving, dyeing and feltmaking. Manipulating fibres instead of flowers. Helen has been a practicing and teaching Fibre Artist since the late 70's, as well as owning and operating a successful craft business until 1990. For the last six years Helen as developed her own Fibre & Fabric Art Gallery in Toowoomba. She has travelled extensively throughout Queensland and New South Wales, teaching and judging. Helen has exhibited her work nationally receiving many awards. Her greatest love is teaching and sharing her knowledge of all fibres and their manipulation into yarns and fabrics, creating them into individual garments.
