Jill Maas

Jill was brought up working with fabric, fiber and colour in a very creative family and has been since her school days. Her particular interest and favourite part is creating the faces. She has made 'serious' more 'lifelike' dolls, but prefers to work within the range of her 'Slightly Weathered Ladies' label. (This allows her to be slightly crazy herself, and her classes are always relaxed and stress free!)

Most the dolls and patterns Jill produces have a comical note and she gets a 'buzz', watching people's reaction to them. The endless possibilities 'no rules' challenge, of working in cloth, allowed her to start teaching several years ago, and, sharing her designs with others, she has been amazed and overjoyed at meeting so many talented creative people, from whom she has learnt heaps! Jill feels very privileged to have such a wonderful, fun, job.
