Michelle Harrold

I was born with curious hands, always making things from everything I could find. At eight I learnt to use a sewing machine sitting on my Mum's knee and once I had experienced this, my imagination and hands ran wild. Many of the fine techniques I like to use in my dolls I have learnt through years of bridal and ball gowns, costumes and fancy dress. Three and half years ago my Mum introduced me to the world of cloth dolls and at last I have found my niche! My designing is strongly influenced by the ocean after living on the coast for many years and many fishing trips in my childhood. After experiencing the "Millennium Madness" I promised myself that I would aim to teach at the next one! I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and learning new techniques and I believe that your inner self shows through in every doll you make. Although I am relatively new to this passion, I am looking forward to a long and exciting journey exploring and creating many new creatures and characters along the way.
