Myths & Truths
There have been many studies done and many theories passed around throughout the city, some of which upon further study turn out to be falsities, though not always intended. Here are a few Myths and the Truths about studies done within the city.
Myth #1: Alchemy
Myth #2: Uncursed Charm Gens
Alchemy in art evocations is one of the biggest missconceptions within city. I, myself was even once a strong believer in this. Ever since the beginning of the dream city itself, Dreamers have been intrigued with the evocation colors of arts. Why do certain arts have diffferent evocation colors? Why are certain arts more similiar than others.
Cloudsbreak Alchemists who dreamt introduced the theory of alchemy into art evocations. With the four elements of the foci, Air, earth , fire and water, the idea of alchemy made sense and was most intriguing to learn about. And though I do believe Alchemy does have its own place within the city of dreams ( Val will tell you it doesnt heh) Alchemy does not have a place within the colors of art evocations. A study introduced to me long ago by my mother The Witch, led Val and I to study deeper on this subject (art evocations) and here is what we found.

The evocation colors are NOT determined by how hot, wet, cold, etc, an art is.. it is simply determined by two things:
the element that empowers it and the sphere it is learned by its main focus. Lets take a look !
Columns
The main column of an art evocation is determined by the element that empowers it, of this there are 5. These column colors remain the same whether the art is offensive or non-offensive, it is only the shape of the column that changes.
Will                -   Gold Column
Insight           -    Green Column
Resillience      - Light Green Column
Lucidity         -      Lavender Column
Dreamsoul      -       Pink Column
Risers & Bases
Risers and Bases determine when an art is learnable by its main focus, of course when dealing with arts empowered by the element of Dreamsoul, the riser or base determines when all dreamers can learn the art, since Dreamsoul arts are learnable to all.
Risers are the bit of color you see floating up the column of non-offensive arts evocations. Bases are unable to be seen by the evoker themself and are the 'base' circle at the bottom of an offensive art evocation. So if you want to test out the information on offensive arts you see here.. take a friend :)
Risers - Non-offensive
Unsphered        - Chalk/ Light blue   (Ex. FA, Purify, Locate Dreamer)
1st Sphere         -     Hot Pink           (Ex. RF, Judgement, Restore)
2nd Sphere        -     Gold              (Ex. Vision, DrainSelf, Sphere Art)
3rd Sphere         -      Green            ( Ex. Antidote)
4th Sphere         -    Light Green       (Ex. Invisibility)
5th Sphere         -     Lavender        (Ex. Blend, Imprison Mare, Return)
6th Sphere         -     Royal Blue       ( Ex. Combine)
Bases - Offensive
Unsphered        - Chalk/ Light blue   (Ex. Deafen )
1st Sphere         -     Hot Pink           (Ex. Scare)
2nd Sphere        -      Dark Gold        (Ex. Ward)
3rd Sphere         -      Gold                ( Ex. Poison, Paralyze)
4th Sphere         -    Green                (Ex. Curse, Shatter, Blind)
5th Sphere        - Blue w/ Pink center    (Ex. Abjure, Darkness)
6th Sphere        - Lavender w/ Blue center     (Ex. Terror, Dreamquake, VD)
One exception to the Rule
Now you may be asking, what of arts such as Train, and support arts, and even house arts, that have a chalk/light blue column. Through these arts many questions have arisen, and only in theory can I tell you that I feel it is the chaotic nature of embedding another's avatar with such power (whether it be training them in arts, Sphering them, or even giving them power in a house through these arts) . It is deemed that these arts belong to the dreamsoul family because anyone can learn them, but if you note the risers/bases still follow the guidelines given above as to when such arts are learnable.
In my own personal theory it is the fact that these arts allow one to give another a power to hold for the rest of their dreams, whether it be training another in an art, giving them a token of support which in the end will give them such power and especially raising their sphere. I feel these arts must draw on the Chaos slightly for if using these arts freely to grant "power" to everyone who hasnt learned or proven themselves, chaos and havoc would surely reap thru the city.
An example to compare .. Random.. though it does not give such power to other dreamers, it does indeed draw on the Chaos when evoked. Something to think about! ~Loves & Val
Now Rumor has it there is a 4th kind of gen, ((If you didn't know their were 3 different types of gens check out my Gen page :) )) In this rumor, it is to be told that the 4th kind of gen, "Charm Gens" which spout charms instead of Chakrams will never give you a cursed item.

Being a gen master myself and never noticing this fact, I went to do my own further study with Nectar a fellow member of the Light. Nectar and I studied three different Charm gens.. and guess what .. these uncursed Generators gave us cursed items ! For shame!
Either way.. it is easy to disprove this ideal yourself, just find a cozy charm gen, and pop a squat... sooner or later you will get a cursed item. ~Loves
Myth # 3: Coltura: Guardian of Light?
Nope, fraid not. Coltura was indeed offered the position, but she declined. many histories on the art of Blend (which she did create) state that she was a guardian within our beloved home, this is an untruth. I, personally found her diary myself, and shared it with a few in the city upon finding it. Somewhere along the line, what I shared with others got misconstrued. Luckily I still had the pages of her diary I found, and you can read them under the history of Blend, and learn the real tale of how it was created.
