| As the weather up here slowly begins to warm, conditions for polishing begin to become a possiblity. So, finding myself at a loose end on a nice dry overcast day, mild with just a light breeze I couldn't resist a bit of polishing in an attempt to bring up the flat lifeless paint. Heard many good things about the new Meguiars three stage system, so decided to give that a go with ScratchX as well. So, armed with 30 quid's worth of polish materials I set to work.... The picture on the left shows the roof halfway through. No, the line isn't a reflection - that's where unpolished meets polished! The difference is unbelievable. This stuff is fantastic, it produced similar results on the bonnet. Sadly rain and poor visibility stopped play so I currently have a half polished duotone Chevette. Soon be ready for show season then! |

| The above picture was taken at the February meet of the Scottish Region BMW Owners Club up in South Queensferry. There were quite a few well presented BMW's in the car park, some ranging from track cars to a brand new £40,000 535d. So in rolls Doive in his 250 quid Chevette! I'd never met the guys before so imagine their surprise when I mill over to join their group. The car produced quite a bit if interest, along with the odd puzzled look. Neil the photographer kindly took the above picture, he usually takes pictures at all the region events of the member's cars who attend. I assumed he would avoid mine, but apparently not! So the club webpage now features rows of BMWs and this singular Chevette. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
