....Who Let The Dogs Out, .... Bow! Wow!

The saying that "every dog has his day" is never more untrue than in the beautiful 'Garden City' called Bangalore, where "every day has it's dog" !.

Let us introduce you to the 'Sporting Bangalore' that is rarely advertised, and is fast becoming the latest 'fashion' in Bangalore!

You would have been told by tour agents about the 'hang-gliding, bungee jumping, parasailing, pub hopping, golfing, trekking, black&white (not Scotch!) water river rafting, wild life sanctuaries, delightful city tours through the Capital of Karnataka, but then, you are still to experience the right life (not night life) of Bangalore!
There is hardly anything worth seeing from the 'Old Bangalore', most of it is in ruins, or just demolished to make way for high-rise apartments and commercial complexes.

Welcome to the latest vile life (wild life) 'Adult Extreme Sport' in Bangalore which is called ' Rope Rover ', very similar to ' Rope a Dope!', the Mohammed Ali catch word! Oh! It's better than 'bungee jumping', as you have to use every muscle in your body as well as your brain, and you will feel the fire in your belly with climaxing excitement. Only if you are 18 and above, you can visit and indulge in these 'sports'! The 'sports' were shown live on CNN-IBN and perhaps NDTV, hence they can be termed as 'Category, or for All Age-Group Audiences!

Then there is the out-of-this-world 'Tourist Attraction' to Bangalore, satisfaction guaranteed for the ruthless & heartless, ruff & tuff similar to AXN's "Fear Factor"!

Please Visit Bangalore, and tell us all how you feel about what you've seen, and what you plan to do about it, and when you plan to make a trip to this 'exciting' city that they call Bangalore! A short tour of the 'Attractions' of Bangalore.

Of course, there is the Other side of Bangalore which you can visit, closing your "eyes, ears and mouth", get away from it all!

I suppose that you are now allowed to sing the song - 'How much is that Doggie in the Window, the One with the Waggily Tail'! It's Just Rs.25 Nett so they say (BowWow! No Vat, or Taxes!!!?), and then it's Rs.200 for a license, then I'm sure it's  the Vet's fees, the cost of the anti-rabies and distemper injections, de-worming treatment etc.!

Let's go back to the distressing incidents that shook Bangalore. Has an proper assessment been made for the reason of the sad happenings?  My philosophical friend Peter Phillip asked me the following question "everyday a motorbike knocks down a pedestrian, do we ban motorbikes from the roads? Everyday a car knocks down and kills a motorist, do we ban cars from the roads? Everyday a bus runs over or smashes into a car, do we ban buses from the roads?". The two children who were mauled to death is most regrettable, and one must really investigate the reason why the dogs attacked the kids. Was there food in the vicinity, or was there a bitch on heat  around? Panic seemed to have taken over the City of Bangalore, and everyone seems to want to draw blood. I ask a simple question, when there was 'slaughter' of bulls, such a hullabaloo was created, and so called 'social' event was turned into a 'religious' fiasco', similarly when KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) was attacked for not killing their chickens 'humanely' it literally brought Brigade Road to a stand-still, but when hundreds of dogs are cruelly captured and killed, where are these enthusiast people, so called 'animal lovers'? Where are they when they are really needed to protest? It stinks does it not reflect a bias?

If the 'strays' are being given away for 'adoption' at Rs.25/-, there is no mention of any 'License Fee' for these animals in the Corporation press release, whereas those who are already protecting and looking after animals referred to as 'pets' must pay licence Fee of Rs.200/-? What happens to the poor 'Strays' who have nobody to take them, do they get the 'chop'? If they are supposedly released back in the areas from where they have been picked up, are they 'licenced' to live free?
