This is a brief Tour of the various
'Sporting' activities available in Bangalore.
For those who are interested in Fishing, there is ample scope of practice
before trying to catch a marlin!!
For those
who are interested in Athletics, Hammer Throw, and similar 'sports', here
below is a sample of the kind of experience you can gain from the local
'coaches'!
There
is a special course on how to throw a lasso, catch a 'Rover', and then
quickly wedge the poor fellow between the branches of a tree, and tug-o-war
practice starts, till something gives, well it's normally the 'Rover' who
is strangled with the fierce tugging. This exercise builds up the forearms
and biceps!
The Group
Photo is normally posed with the 'prey', just like in the 'good old days',
where instead there were tigers, deer, rabbits, partridges, and lots of
other game!
Should
you want to honestly do something about the fate of 'man's best friend',
(am I punning on the 'best friend'?)
Please mail the Champion for the 'doggies' of Bangalore, namely
Ms. Radhika Badami, Citizen Journalist for CNN-IBN
, Bangalore, with your suggestions, your support, your love for the dwindling
'street dogs'. Bangalore, Wake up! The city is being lost, take it back
from the madness. You even have support from Delhi through Mou Dasgupta Sood, and
from Australia through the The Kindnesstrust
!!
Looks like we need to get people to 'Stop The War (on Dogs)' like they
did for Vietnam! Then there will be a iota of sanity amidst the madness.
I wonder if it is because our Indian Cricket got kicked out of the World
Cup, everyone needs a scapegoat, what easier way when every thing is going
to the dogs!!
