Contact Me

I have struggled with my identity as an artist for a long time. I was always the kid who never knew what he was going to be.. but I was always doodling. I got some encouragement as a kid, namely from my brother (who taught me how to stop drawing stick figures) and my mom (who was always making greeting cards and christmas ornaments and other crafts). I wandered in and out of career ideas, soldier, veterinarian, literary critic, safari guide, etc., until I finally got out of high school (where I took exactly 1 art class). Finally college hit me like a ton of bricks, and so did art. It was like I was making up for lost time... taking every art class I could get my hands on. I think I went to every class with pastel or ink or paint on my hands for 5 years. and in that 5 years I learned a lot about art, about myself, and about my role as an artist in the world.

I have been at this for nearly 20 years now and I hope I have managed to make some progress, but that is really up to you.

So I invite your criticisms, critiques and comments on my work and its meanings and interpretations for discussion. Thanks for coming in to have a look,

Rob Williams
