SCHOOL HISTORY School No. 9 was built in 1975 and major renovations were completed in 1995. It is a PreK-5 elementary school with approximately 650 students from diverse backgrounds. The school is centrally located within walking distance to many cultural centers (Hochstein School of Music, museums, art galleries, and the High Falls area). |

| MISSION STATEMENT The mission of school No. 9 is to prepare students to be productive members of a culturally diverse and increasingly complex society. We will accomplish this in a safe, nurturing, and pleasant learning environment where a competent, cooperative staff provides a challenging academic program for all students.
