The Objective of the Defence Medical Association, as stated in its Constitution, is to foster the development and efficiency of the Canadain Forces medical Services (CFMS). The Association accomplishes its mission by:
a. bringing to the attention of those in authority recommentdations and suggestions, which in the opinion of the Association, will assist the Surgeon General to improve the efficiency of the CFMS;
b. maintaining liaison between members of the CFMS and the medical and other health professionals;
c. serving as a responsible body through which information may be disseminated on military medical matters pertinent to the roles of the Canadain Forces; and
d. stimulating esprit de corps within and between the Regular and Reserve components of the CFMS.

Medicus, the Medical Branch Journal, as published.
Copies of AGM minutes and other business of the Association.
Additional mailings as available.
Attendance at the Annual Clinical Study Day and at OPMED at membership rates.
Members also receive a large size membership certificate suitable for framing.
Are you eligible for membership in DMA? If you answer any or all of the following questions "yes", then you may be eligible for active or associate membership.
If you fulfill conditions for membership you may join at our Membership Page, you will then be contacted by the National Secretary with a request for fees, currently $55.00 per year, and also directed to your nearest Branch for affiliation. Branch fees vary but currently none exceed $15.00 per year, and are forwarded to the branch from the National. DMA is also registered as a Charitable Organization and is in a position to issue tax receipts for donations.
