Quoting Natalie.... "It's so nice when people appreciate your films. But awards are so unnecessary, because I think we get so much out of our work just by doing it. The work is a reward in itself. But it is so nice when people think of you for those kinds of things, especially when you put so much hard work into a film. But when you start valuing yourself based on other people's accolades, it is a little dangerous. Because then you have to start valuing yourself based on other people's insults, too!" " I think people sometimes take movies too seriously. I mean, they are just movies in the end." "But it's strange for me to think that when I'm older my kids won't have cousins from my side, and I won't have any one to, like, be conspirators with and talk about my parents when I'm older. Because no one knows what it's like to be in my family. I can say to someone,'Oh my God, they're killing me!' And they're like, 'But your parents are so nice!'" "I try and ignore all that attention because when you start defining yourself [based] on other people's visions of you it gets a little dangerous." "Well, acting's never really been my passion. I've been really lucky, because I like acting and I've had some small success with it. So it's stayed a main part of my life, but I'm struggling with that now. It is a wonderful career, it's really fun and it doesn't take too much time. You do one movie and have nine months off. It affords you a lot of power and money to do other things." " I think it's so important to preserve your innocence."
