Welcome to My Realm
After graduating from UCLA in 1997, I looked
at many career opportunities and experienced with a few of them.
One of which was working at a day
trading firm. I have found a job that suits me quite well for
now at Broadband
Sports, which produces the web site for the hard core fans:
AthletesDirect,
in Santa Monica as a quality assurance engineer. What do I do exactly?
I make sure that the web sites that our company launches are coherent
working sites and that there are no glitches with them. From this
job, I learned a little about web site design, computer graphics,
and HTML and database management. I feel that this is the perfect
opportunity for me at this juncture in my life. "Is computer and
Internet what you studied in school?" you ask.
Well, no. My major was physiological science
at UCLA. That is the study of the human body and its functions and
how the intricate parts of body interact with each other to allow
the body to… Ok, it's like biology major and it had nothing to do
with computers and Internet. But computers have always been a personal
interest of mine and the Internet is a hot field. I took some classes
in computers and programming and, voila, I am a QA engineer at an
Internet media company. I have to thank my dear friend Jenny
Tai, who is also my boss. She helped me with getting this position.
As for personal life, I enjoy all aspects
of life, day life, nightlife, no life and full of life. No life?
Well, I sometimes prefer to give myself sometime alone to read a
kung fu novel by Jing Yung or go to the driving range to perfect
my game of golf. But most of the time, I enjoy hanging out with
my friend and do anything. You can say I am the sports type. I play
and watch football, basketball, softball, badminton, bowling and
golf. As far as for nightlife, I like clubbing, going to the movies
and a nice game of pool with friends. Oh yeah, who can say no to
karaoke? Find out others of my interest on My
Favorite page.
