Venues

In order to see live music, you need a physical space in which to see the band perform. These spaces add an element to the music experience each and every time. I find that some bands play better at different venues and the audience enjoys the venues for different reasons. Factors involved and to be discussed regarding the venues include: the sound, the staff at the venue, the security, the ability to break in if you can't find a ticket, whether or not there is free parking, the "scene" in the parking lot, the parking lot itself (clean, gravel, sand, grass, etc.), the traffic to and from, vending both in the venue and the lots, how hard is it to get to the venue, after-show options, and many more things.

This page serves as a portal to the different types of venues that I have seen concerts at. The format has become a little more structured, but I will leave some personal comments as well.
The venues are broken into to categories, indoor and outdoor - for the sake of space and order.

Indoor Venues

Indoor venues can be bars, clubs, houses/homes, basements, concert halls, shopping malls, theaters, arenas and everything in between.

Outdoor Venues

Outdoor venues can be in the form of ampitheaters, "sheds", stadiums, parking lots, front/back yards of private residences, air force bases, airports, ski slopes, riverboats, river fronts, on a beach, next to a lake, street corners and more
