Alaska Inside Passage Cruise--2003
        Holland America Line
   As a gift for 30 years of service to his company, my dad's boss gave my family a cruise through Alaska's inside passage in August, 2003.  It was really spectacular.  I was also a good time for me to go and renew my spirit in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
   Did I mention that on the way to Alaska I got to spend a day in Seattle?  Home of Pearl Jam and a few of my friends from the message boards. 
    I felt blessed by the fact that we had a crystal clear day that day to view the city.  The picture at right is the Showbox club.  The one at the left is Downtown as seen from the Space Needle.  Pics taken by Brandon, August 17, 2003.
Sail Away Time.

Just after 3 PM, the ms Volendam left Vancouver, BC under the Lions Gate Bridge.  I'm a bit sorry I didn't get to see more of Vancouver.
Stop 1--Juneau Alaska.

The Capital of the State of Alaska.  Located on the panhandle.  This pic was taken by Brandon off the dock of the boat looking into downtown.  The sky was overcast, so we couldn't see a lof of the mountains behind the city.
The Mendenhall Glacier outside of Juneau.

This was a pretty cool sight.  Not as impressive as Glacier Bay would be later in the trip.  But a good sized glacier nestled in some wonderful forest country.

Of Course there's a tourist trap type place right across from the docks.  But hey, we all need to buy stuff right? 


If You ever cruise..I highly reccomend Holland America Line.  They were great!
