It is said that about 15 million people watch this cartoons in Europe only. There are 2 different types of this cartoons. Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. Now there are people saying that a new version has come out and it is called Dragon Ball AF. From what I saw from Dragon Ball Z and GT, they're really great. Goku is the main character of the whole Dragon Ball(Z & GT). He is Bardock's son. Goku's real name is Kakarot and he since he was a child was sent to earth to destroy the it. He was found in Mount Paozu by Grandpa Gohan and banged his head on a rock. He forgot that he had to destroy the world and so became a good man. He trained under the supervision of Grandpa Gohan. He later trained under Master Roshi, Kami, and Kaiou. Goku, since he was of a small age, Goku used to participate in the tournament of martial arts and for a great surprise for all the spectaters when he was 5 years old he had already won the tournament. Later on Goku married Chi-Chi and had two children whose names were Gohan and Goten. Goku sacrifised himself to fight against his evil brother Raditz. Goku is one of the few Saiyans who can reach the Level 4 Super Saiyan. Goku fused (became one body) with Vegeta to become Vegetto and also Gozita. All his life Goku trained to protect the world form the evil characters. At the end of Dragonball GT, Goku rode on Shenlong, fused with the dragonballs, and disappeared.

Gohan is Goku's and Chi-Chi's first son. He is a very valuable character in Dragon Ball. Since, he was small he trained under Piccolo in preparation for the fight against Nappa and Vegeta. Gohan was responsible for the defeat of Vegeta after diverting a powerful sphere of enery to Vegeta. Gohan is also responsible for the defeat of the most powerful character in Dragon Ball Z. Cell. After becoming SSJ1 and SSJ2 forms. Gohan is the most powerful Saiyan ever existed. In fact at the age of 8 when he destroyed Cell he was already more powerful than his father Gokou. When Gohan becomes angry nobody stops him and he doesn't know how to control himself. Gohan was absorbed by Boo, during the Boo series, but rescued by Gokou and Vegeta. Afterwards, he married Videl and became the father of Pan. Gohan is also know as the Great Saiyan-man, a masked crime fighter.

Evil Prince of the Saiyans who grew up following Freeza's orders to conquer other planets. Vegeta was defeated for the first time by Gokou and retreated (Vegeta Series). Then, he allied with the Z warriors in battling Freeza in the Freeza Series, Vegeta easily gets jealous at other warriors because he wanted to be the strongest. Vegeta also vows that Gokou's life belongs to him. In the Cell Series, Vegeta reaches SSJ level for the first time. Vegeta officially became one of the good guys in the Boo Series, when he realized that Gokou is stronger. In the Boo Series, he became one of Babi-di's zombies, Majin-Vegeta, and self-destructed in hope of destroying Boo. He was revived by King Yama to fight Boo. Vegeta also fuses with Gokou to become Vegetto. In Dragonball GT, Baby took over his body and he became Vegeta-Bebi. Then, he reaches SSJ4 level for the first time, and fused with Super Gokou 4 to become Gozita once again.

Little monk who trained with Gokou under Master Roshi. His true intentions for learning martial arts was to find a girlfriend. When he grew up, he married Android 18 who once was and evil woman who wanted to destroy Goku together with Andriod 17 and Android 16 during the Cell series and became the father of Marron. He doesn't have a very big power although he has a vital weapon which is the Magic Circle. With this weapon he can cut everybody when launching it although in the Cell series this doesn't work.

Piccolo (Demon King) evil son of Daimoa. He fought Gokou in a Tenkaichi Boudoukai to revenge his father but was defeated. A few years later, he allied with Gokou, trained Gohan, and became good. Piccolo was killed by Nappa but restored with the Namek dragonballs. He also fused permanently with Nail and Kami. Piccolo was killed again when the Earth exploded in the Baby Series. In heaven, Piccolo purposely caused trouble to be sent to hell to help Gokou return to Earth in Dragonball GT.

Since he was small Goku Giaden didn't train martial arts like his ancestors did. He also had his name Son Goku Gaiden which meant that he was also part of the family of the Great Gokou. The Great Gokou had already died and now Goku Gaiden was thew only one left from his family. His mother Pam was dying and Goku Gaiden had to find the sphere of the Dragon Shelron. Goku together with Pakku, which was his friend, went to the mountain where there was the sphere. They had to pass many obsticles like for example a witch which wanted to kill them. There Goku Gaiden becomes a Super Saiyan and destroys the giant which was with the witch. Well finally Goku arrived but unfortunately his friend Pakku didn't make it. Pam was getting nearer to death and finally died. Goku Gaiden tries to express his wish that his mother rises from the death. But this didn't work. Goku throew the sphere away from him and it landed near the spirit of the Great Goku. Goku was very disappointed that Gaiden didn't train and so Gaiden promissed to train. Finally Goku Gaiden sees Pakku and his mother Pam coming form the house where he had got the sphere.

Trunks is the son of Bulma, a headstrong technical genius, and Vegeta, one of the most powerful fighters in the Dragon Ball Z universe. His exact age is not certain, but he first appears in Dragon Ball Z in his mid to late teens. He is from the future and has witnessed a threat to Earth which cannot be stopped in that time. He has come back in time to try to save the Earth of his time, only to find our heroes in Earth facing their own peril. Much to the amazement of our friends, Trunks immediately turns Super Saiyan and defeats Frieza and King Cold. He gives Goku medicine to prevent his death from heart disease and tells them of Earth's coming predicament. The Z fighters immediately go into training, and Trunks returns to his own time. Trunks returns to our timeline again in the Android Saga to ensure that the androids do arrive on Earth. He is also born during this saga, so we have the opportunity to see him both as a teenager and a baby at the same time. He continues to exist as a boy and a teen until the end of the Cell Saga, when the older Trunks returns to his original timeline

Goten is the second son of Goku and Chi-Chi, and is Gohan’s little brother. Goten loves to train in martial arts. He quickly develops incredibly strong powers (he just naturally goes Super Saiyan) that enable him to fight alongside the adults in their mission to defend earth. Goten’s best friend is Trunks who is approximately one year older. They are often seen together. Goten goofs around when he fights, especially when fused with Trunks as Gotenks, where he makes up countless silly-named attacks. Pure of heart, he’ll quickly jump into danger to help his friends and family.

Tien is a three-eyed man intent on training to be strong. Originally trained by one of Master Roshi's rivals, Tien switched sides and became a Z fighter. He beat Goku at a worldwide martial arts tournament, is able to stop a waterfall with a blast and can crush rocks on his head. His fighting techniques include the ability to hover in the air, throw concentration bombs, blind with flashes of light, and split into two or four separate entities. Tien is excited about being trained by Kami and willing to fight against the Saiyans despite the odds. He volunteers to be the first to fight against the Saibamen, wins the battle and goes on to fight against the Saiyans. Tien can communicate telepathically with his best friend Chiaotzu.
