All Out Urban - Live Caller ::Acetate:: One for the grimey crew here! Featuring both MC and instrumental based versions, this track is already getting a hammering from the likes of Mr EZ! On the vocal version of this track we appear to have the talents of the "All Out FM" crew, hailing from West London. At the beginning of the track we hear a kinda calm introduction with a little background melody when a voice pipes up as if hosting a radio show and introducing a live caller: MC Nature. After presenting the caller with the options of telling a joke, playing a yes & no game or running a lyric, Nature plumps for the option of running some lyrics. Wait a second and bam! in drops one dirty bassline! Nature proceeds to drop lyrics over this in a unique but excellent sounding flow for about a minute and a half before the next caller is introduced in a similar manner to Nature. Next up we have MC Nastyphonics, who destroys the next grimey rhythm with an excellent flow. A slightly different rhythm to the one that Nature rode but still heavy nonetheless. Overall the vocal version is very good with several MCs all having unique sounds and flows with a few quality little hooks that caught my attention, one of my favourite being: "Girl what's gwarning?! Lights, cameras, action, stop acting, stop fronting that your not wanting!" - quality! However, personally for me the instrumental is the heaviest version. Stick this one on and feel the bass!

Billy Crawford - You Didn't Expect That (Jameson 4/4 Vocal Remix) ::V2 Records:: Pick up anything with Jameson written on it and you know you're in for a treat! This is no different. It's got everything that makes Jameson great; crisp drums, sweet melodies and of course, that kick arse bassline! Although this track could possibly be out in the charts by the time you read this, it has now been doing the rounds on the underground for a few months, first on a white then on a promotional copy. Basically what we have here is Mr Crawford telling the story of how he caught his girl with another man and how she "didn't expect" him to find out. The tune begins nicely with a crisp 4/4 drum pattern and some nice melodic keys, before building up with a little of the vocal and then dropping into the famous Jameson bassline. However good Billy sounds throughout the verses, it really is the sing along chorus that makes this tune. The catchy vocals work perfectly with the bassline - I bet you will sing this for hours after you hear it!! In my opinion, this is the best vocal remix Jameson has done since Sex Go Round and definitely has the potential to be very successful in the charts. However, I'm not entirely sure whether the Jameson mix is out on the commercial release, you'll have to wait and find out!
