3. the Jesus videos

a few years back, a church known on the internet as "vintage21" were running a four week series on Jesus, but found it was hard to get past the misconceptions that the world has about Him.  so to help with their talks, they produced four

now legendary videos that contained as many misconceptions about Jesus that they could think of.  they did voice-overs on top an old Jesus movie, and it is now famous among us christians and is showed often in churches and at large-scale christian meetings.
DISCLAIMER: as christians we do not believe in what these videos say, but we find them hilarious for being the complete opposite of the truth.

2. ZZT

this is getting even more basic now, and i'm sorry to do two games in a row, but only a handful of things are this unknown and this good.
ZZT was written in DOS, and uses its old-style text formatting, i.e. every square is one DOS character size.  also, every square can only have a single colour, or an ASCII character (ASCII is the basic letter/number/symbol set on computers).
and that's basically what makes the game's charm.  it's so silly and basic, but somehow they make a game out of it.  you control the player (a smiley face) who can shoot bullets (degrees symbols) to kill animals or baddies (various letters).
you have to collect keys from various places to get make your way to the finish.  it ends up being quite clever in how the game works, which makes it all the more playable.  to add to that, the original game (now freeware) has four different games, and also a level editor for you to make your own.  what more could you ask for?
1. discworld (the game)

this was created in 1995, before the current popular games came around, so most people have never heard of it.  but it all makes perfect sense.  a game of discworld.
it plays as a point-and-click adventure, with you taking the role of rincewind in a game based loosely on the novel "guards guards" (though with vimes' role replaced with rincewind).
it is funny.  excedingly funny.  rincewind can talk to all of the characters, and whilst some people find this boring and (very) long and tedious, those of us who like pratchett will just sit and listen all day.
why exactly is it so funny?  i did some research and found out.  terry pratchett himself wrote the script and the character voices include eric idle as rincewind along with tony robinson and rob brydon as most of the other characters.  and if you needed any more convincing, pratchett is also listed in the credits with a job description of "yelling at people"!
