Akosombo International School

This page is dedicated to my life at Akosombo International school where i completed my secondary education. If you attended AIS and you have some experiences you want to share, email them to me so i can paste them on this site.

Three years of boarding school is a great experince. the first few days all you can do is dream about your home because of the 'warm reception' you get from you 'kind' seniors. Not to leave out jogging to Directors at 4 am in the morning.

But after a week or two you suck it up and even start enjoying yourself.

AIS is a small school situated right next to the Akosombo Dam. The akosombo community can only be described as the 'Most beautiful' place in Ghana -the mountains and the river are breathe taking.

Anyway, i was a science student in the class of Y2K. The class of Y2K is undoubtedly the best thing that happened to AIS.

  • My memories of AIS?
    My prefectship
  • The D-Hall
  • The ever present twum in the science class
  • The Scripture Union
  • Going out with the Wildlife Club
  • The 'Mr Kakari is coming ' episodes
  • Broke Week
  • The Campus Crusades
  • Ground work

I've got tons more which i would add with explanation as time goes on. I would also add a page dedicated to AIS Terminologies and Twum.

You may be asking yourself what twum is. Twum is the expressing of oneself in a nonsensical manner using unrelated terms acquired from scientific terminologies. I'll have to leave this to Bernie Anti for elaboration.

My Ais pals are so many - Shadito, Naa Lamley, Sammy B, Belinda, Bolero, Courage, Akosua, Maud, Village Boy, Croc, Fifi, Lynn, Thelma, Ratus, Tsitsi, Azoray, Costic, Rudolph and everone else. and oh yea, my school kids.
