Shy From Life is a well-known and much appreciated stallion in Equine Esteem. He has textbook conformation and one of the best attitudes you will ever see in a Thoroughbred stallion. Shy From Life has always been a top hunter, but he is now adding Dressage and Eventing to his resume, and he is doing very well and learning quickly.
Shy From Life has always been an Equine Esteem horse, and was purchased by myself when he was five and had six-hundred points. He is now an eight-year-old with more than five-thousand points and more first place finishes than the wide majority of horses.
Shy From Life is sired by Shy Indy, an AP Indy son. AP Indy is a race-winner of more than $2,000,000, winner of the Belmont Stakes, Horse of the Year, and a Racing Hall of Famer. AP Indy is sired by Seattle Slew, a much respected Triple Crown winner and he is out of Weekend Surprise, a race-mare who earned more than $400,000 on the track. Shy Indy is out of Northern Style, earner of more than $100,000 on the track. Northern Style is sired by another race-sire, Ack Ack who won more than a half-million dollars, and whose name appears on many Thoroughbred�s papers.
Shy From Life is out of a Secretariat mare, Life of Life. Secretariat is not only a Triple Crown winner and a Bold Ruler son, he is also renowned for being one of the best broodmare sires in Thoroughbred history. Life of Life is out of Margarets Number, a roan mare who earned more than $100,000 on the track, but is also a grand-daughter of the great Native Dancer.
Shy From Life is not only bred for the track, he produces horses who are meant for the track. One of Shy From Life�s eldest foals is Mysterious Life, a stallion who is standing at Mystic Horse Stables. Mysterious Life is out of a mare who was previously owned by Divine Equestrians, and he has sired stakes-winner Mysterious Dreams, a chestnut colt who has earned more than $12,000 on the track. Mysterious Life is also the sire of Spice of Life, a stake-winning bay filly. Shy From Lifes younger progeny include Always Shy and Shy Edition, two weanling fillies. He is the sire of promising yearling colt, Empire Maker. Too Shy To Flirt, a bay daughter of his, broke her maiden with flying colors on her first time out as a two-year-old. Zip I De Do Da is a chestnut daughter who is a stellar race-producing mare, and the dam of Stakes-placed winner Skip I De Do Da.
