Hailing from Uberwald, the High Were are often from aristocratic families, not that that means anything when you come to Ankh Morpork. The main difference between high and low were, is that High Were take the shape of either humans or wolves at will, and never stop in between. They are usually very fit and have a keen nose and bloodlust. Care must however be taken not to spend too much time in wolf form, or they go 'wolf-senile', that is, their mind resembles more that of a wolf or dog than a human. This can be very imbarrassing for family and friends, especially when you chase the cat and do a naughty on the rug. Note: High Were must be in wolf form at full moon.
