“I complained I had no shoes until I saw someone without feet.”

Often our vision extends only up to the tip of our nose. We do not see further than our own needs. We could go through the whole day engrossed in our petty problems, without realizing that others have more complicated problems bigger than ours.

Lord, let me stop complaining and start thanking you for every gift I constantly receive. My life, my health, my family and friends are all blessings. All the gifts I often take for granted, including the air I breathe or a good night's sleep... all these are blessings. And finally, let me give you thanks for the pains and aches of daily life – for these, too, are blessings in disguise.
