Walk a mile first in your brother's moccasins before you judge him.

This old Indian saying can be applied every day. How often do I judge others on a daily basis without first verifying the facts? Sometimes the opposite of gossip is the truth. When I have walked in my brother's moccasins for a while, I begin to feel his weight, the contours of his feet. Walking in his shoes can also teach me something about myself - how I am like him, how we both tread on the same soil, the same earth, and walk the same path.

Lord, it's so easy to destroy a character than build it. Guard my tongue that I may use it only to praise you and others. If I cannot say anything good about my neighbor, it is better to be silent. I should not say anything about him to others which I cannot say in front of him.
