The Zutons debut album Who Killed The Zutons? is amoung the 12 nominees for this years award for the year's best album. Currently at 12-1 with bookmakers, the favourites being Franz Ferdinand and The Streets.

Winners in recent years have been PJ Harvey (2001), Ms. Dynamite (2002), along with last year's winner, Dizzee Rascal.

A track by The Zutons from the album will feature on the Mercury Music Prize nominees CD, released in August, while the award ceremony itself takes place on 7th September.
