Many of you are probably wondering why a lot of the pictures (i.e. the main page pics) on the site aren't working as well as the forum. Well all this stuff is hosted off of the site JPDB and they're currently switching servers so this down time is only temporary...I have no idea how long it'll last but the site should be back to normal soon!...I hope! :/
Well my University Profs went on strike for the last 2 1/2 weeks (after a week of spring break mind you!) so I was really out of the working mood and goofed off...now I'm swamped with work since the strike has been resolved (explaining my lack of updates)...but good news to all you creative/artistic types!, I've become enthralled with the site

Despite the petition passing 1000 signings there is still no sign of Universal releasing the soundtrack to Operation Genesis butJPtoys sends word of a new legal method of creating your very own copy of the soundtrack, just clicky here! For some of you guys that like submitting facts into the "Dino Facts" (as seen above and in just about every main section of this site)I'd suggest using some good, reliable facts if you want me to accept them. I usually get stuff that I have already added myself or really simple facts like "T-rex was one of the biggest carnivorous dinosaurs"...just thought I'd mention it cause I feel bad deleting stuff people put effort into submitting. (Hope everyone had a happy Valentine's Day!, the JP cards I made were very successful :) )

At Trescom.org they've been holding a little contest involving fan made trespasser (the famous PC game that came out back in 98) releated stuff. Of course I couldn't help myself from entering, though since I have no idea how to make custom levels or any other overly technical stuff I just did a theme package with wallpaper, winamp skin, sounds, messenger skins, icons, cursors...etc (all trespasser releated of course). In case you're currently living under a rock (though if you're reading this I doubt it) you may have noticed the shweet commercials airing about discovery channels "Dinosaur Planet" series! (which looks to me an awful lot like "When Dinosaurs Roamed America", made by the same guys I assume)
I myself am looking forward to they're re-enactment of the Velociraptor/Protoceratops story that will hopefully relelate to the famous fossil discovered of these two creatures locked together in combat! The show premieres on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and continues on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, get your VCR's ready! Forum memeber LoneTRexAEM sends word of a video game in production called "Dinosaur Hunting" slated for the X-box. It features hunters from around the world (Yes even Canada!) in the year 1910 hunting for prehistoric trophies on a newly discovered island infested with dinosaurs. I've given the Store section a major renovation, now that Dinosaur_Neill's Homepage is an affiliate with amazon.com I can provide you dino-freaks (like myself) with a nicely organized set of stores fulla dinosaur releated products with a Movies, Video Games, Music , Books and Poster Store. I've even tossed in a "Dino_Neill's Wishlist" Store for fun...one day all of that loot will be mine! (and yes I'm still tinkering with the mainpage design still...the poll should return in the near future...hopefully.)
Bill Brown (Composer) has recently updated his site with 3 new tracks from the Trespasser soundtrack (Apartment Crash Intro,Mayan Temple Theme and Forest Walk) I've already updated the track list with links to these tracks in the music section, Click Here! (Thanks to TresCom for the news!)
Well guess what?, the owner of Jurassic Park Database has changed his mind (again!) and JPdb will be up for at least another year (yay!). Anywho, I plan to eventually fix the whole poll and ads at the very bottom of the page (for those of you using a resolution greater than 1024x768 everything should look fine as it is). Oh and I've decided to go with the whole movie themed opening page dealy and updated with JAWS! (one of my favourite movies of all time ;) )

Long time no update eh?, well university is a busy place, deal with it!...anywho I may have some video downloads eventually but till then I thought I'd take the time to answer a question someone posted on the guestbook:"cool site neil i love dinosaurs could you tell me if you are making jp4"(thanks to anyone that noticed he left an "l" out of my name, at least some of you pay attention) Well lets see, being known for creating several film masterpieces in my time I, a 19 year old canadian with the skill to make a basic html website, have been approached by Universal Studios to direct the 4th in the Jurassic series. I'm not supposed to say much but the story involves inGen's creation of the dinosaurian species Doyouthinkhesaurus rex. Million's of these creatures become loose on the mainland intent on killing and devouring every man, woman and child that enjoyed Disney's "Dinosaur". The budget is pretty big so you'll be sure to see guest appearances by gollum, Jar Jar Binks (a death scene of course), Spiderman/Daredevil/Hulk/any other super hero featured in a movie because Hollywood likes making money but dispises coming up with original movies and the entire cast of the Matrix films. JP4: Attack of the Clones Resurrected From Bones should be out sometime in the next 2 years and will be featured in every theatre in existance. Hope that answers your question!

A site update?!...sorry for the delay but summer jobs tend to screw over my site work, though I am working on stuff.
I've finally recieved my copy of the "Jurassic People" Special Edition DVD in the mail and was pleasently surprised with the hilarious "Making of Jurassic People" segment included (Seeming at times much like an episode of "Jackass"). The DVD also included the film with audio commentary from the creators, the trailer for the film and a spanish version (worth watching as well for humor's sake, especially since they had guys voicing over for even the female characters). The film itself is still great and of course of a much better quality on DVD compared to the online version you can watch here. Altogether it's a great DVD )the case itself resembles the JP DVD case quite nicely). I'd like to thank Jamie Hobert for sending me a free copy and can't wait to see an eventual sequel. I've finally gotten in touch with the composer of the newly released Operation Genesis thanks to Dan from DansJP3Page and here's what he had to say: Stephan supports the petition I've created (suggesting we need at least 10,000 signings now...yikes!) pointing out that if OG sells a lot of copies a soundtrack release would be more likely to happen. Good news includes the possibility of putting an unused track (intended for when the dinosaurs break loose in the game) to be an addition to a possible soundtrack. Also with the release of JP:OG in Japan coming later this year, if the game sells really well a soundtrack may be a greater possibility since game soundtracks are popular over there. Stephan also put an end to the possibility of a Gamecube version of the game saying it was for unknown reasons scrapped though it was intended to be made in early game production. Expect more news including a complete track list...:)
The banner contest is now over and as you've noticed #7 won with a total of 24% of the votes! Congradulations to the creator "Raptoryx" for his very cool mirrored rex banner! In second place was the humorous #14 by "SamNeillFan" with 21% and in third place the pre-school looking #9 by "Vinsfeld" with 16%. The hype for Operation Genesis is building and just today the new trailer has been released on the official Blue Tongue site. After seeing this clip all I can say is, bring on the Demo!
In case you haven't been paying attention, I've been tinkering around with my merchandise store again, newly added are a new footprint t-shirt and a humorus bumper sticker!, I've also redone the "Proud to like Dinosaurs" T-shirt yet again, it looks pretty professional now...:)

While home for the weekend from university I got around to playing my preview copy of "Jurassic Park: Dinosaur Battles", the game played much like pokemon, you walk around a mapped out location, battle the local animals and in the process follow a story...It's a good game for the younger crowd, but it may be a little much for you older JP fans (the main characters in the game are kids, nuff said)

Vivendi Universal Games has contacted me about a new JP game called: "Jurassic Park: Dinosaur Battles" that is being released today, the basic idea for this PC game is battling different dinosaurs all over Isla Sorna and it has been described as the "most exciting" of the Jurassic Park games yet released...

UPDATED:Paul has also started to submit MP3's from TLW for PSX soundtrack (now availible in the downloads and video game sections), so far he's got one done, but more will be on the way. (I would like to personally thank Paul for all of these contributions)

A friend has given me this link with old video game music remixed, and to my surprise I found a couple JP game soundtracks remixed. It's worth taking a look for those of you that were around when SNES and NES games were popular.
Just recently one of the first Project Genesis websites has been lauched by the people who brought you Trescom.org, so far it features a wide range of pictures, a list of the majority of the games dinosaurs and some other miscellaneous info on the game.
Paul has sent me the first batch of TLW Playstation in-game movie pics.

The word is out on a new Jurassic Park game being released later this year. "Jurassic Park: Project Genesis" looks to be basically an upgraded version of JP3: Parkbuilder and will be released for PS2, XBox, and PC. GameSpy.com features pictures from the PS2 version of the game..

I just found out from "Oviraptor" at Jpdatabase that JP3 is in the running to be one of the Oscar nominees for best visual effects! The initial list of eight nominees for the FX award are : "A.I.", "Black Hawk Down", "Cats & Dogs", "The Fast & The Furious", "Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone", "Jurassic Park III", "The Lord of The Rings" and "Pearl Harbor". The final 3 choices of these 8 will be anounced soon. Let's all pray JP3 gets this one and dosen't loose like TLW in 1997.(source:www.darkhorizons.com)

I just recieved in the mail today, my Jurassic Park 3 prop from Ebay, it looks like the picture below, accept it's a top view of the skull. On further inspection, it has Dr.Alan Grant printed on it and the date July 16, 2001, most of the other text is just numbers and measurements of the skull and the specimen number!

The Discovery Channel is playing the "Walking with Dinosaurs" series again for a special Holiday treat...I've also noticed the "When Dinosaurs Roamed America" series playing too. So enjoy the new year with these neat shows. (notice: this is on the Canadain discovery channel, I don't know if it is on the American one too...)

Well the JP3 DVD finally came out, and I have to say it is a very cool DVD with a lot of cool sections dedicated to the creation of the dinosaurs, and a feature that allows you to hear the special effects team talk during the entire movie, explaining a lot of stuff, including what species the rex was eating...(Here are a few pictures of post production posters included in the DVD, showing they were planning to call it Extinction...

I found a neat little JP3 word scrambling game while visiting discovery.com, it gives you a hint and a scrambled dinosaurs name, but you have to unscramble it before your time runs out or you get no points...

The JP3 Prop Auction has begun on Ebay! There's about 20 items to bid for. Items include the toy dinosaurs featured at the beginning of the film, 3 different raptor eggs and different item used and worn by the cast. (theres a direct link to the auction at Dan's JP3 Page )
