Warburton's Edge is a favorite episode of many a Lancer fan.

It's about loyalty and doing what's right, and in several parts it is rather sad. Johnny's looks in this episode range from boyish to dangerous.

Johnny's many facets are best displayed when played off other people- the comparison and his reaction to straight folk reflects his true self.

The scene in which his friend dies while in his arms is full of 'but for the grace of God' thoughts.

His scenes with Warburton's daughter bring out his character. He is chivalrous and reesponsible when she entices him to take her on a night-time ride. He is sweetly convincing in a cantina scene when he tries to explain to her why he has pretended to be a gun-for-hire.

One of the most interesting items in my collection is a contact sheet of photos taken of Wayne Maunder. Link here to see the sheet of photos and to learn a little bit more about the photo shoot.

This is an alternate image rarely used for publicity. Many fans had a poster featuring James Stacy, taken in this same shoot, with him crouching down in front of the grand hacienda pillars. If you'd like a jpeg of both images, just email me.

See some episode shots on this page as well as some comments.
