Ready,
set, go and the race begins!!
|
Teams were required to complete three tasks during this first leg of the race. First,they encountered a roadblock when they located the playground at First Class Daycare. The artistic team member needed to construct an object using playdoh for the other player to guess. The Butts arrived first followed by Nezam with no teammate - "OH SHOOT - SHE CAN'T RUN!" he exclaimed as other teams raced ahead of them. Everyone completed the task pretty quickly, but Julian and Kim struggled and looked like they were doomed for elimination. "Beetle, roach", Julian exclaimed as he tried to figure out what type of insect it was but it was a car (it just had legs). They were last to leave the playdoh station. Station 2 was ready to close down before they got there, they thought they had extra clues! At the Dematteis Pavillion teams needed to carry a ping-pong ball using two spoons. Everyone completed this quickly and were on their way to the final task in the race conference room when they ran into Julian and Kim who could not find the DeMatteis Pavillion. After asking a security guard they were directed to the East Tower! Mike gave them a hint that it was outside which may have saved this team from sure elimination, but this helpful hint did not sit well with Yvette at all. At the third station in the conference room they needed to use equipment provided to get a Q-TIP into a designated receptacle. This proved to be a difficult task for many of the teams.
