Presently working on

To make comparative studies on signal transduction mechanism and cell – to – cell apoptosis, both in virulent mycobacterium tuberculosis and non-virulent mycobacterium smegmatis adopting cell culture technique and other advanced techniques and to detect the effect of cell - wall glycolipid, lipoarabinomannan, on them.
To study for the specific drugs which will be effective to combat the long - term exposure of lipoarabinomannan in old tuberculotic patients or AIDS - affected patients whose secondary infection of tuberculosis is inevitable.
