THE PLAN
The preparations for Operation Overlord began long before the invasion was under way. From the Dieppe Raid debacle, the allies were planning the decisive invasion of Normandy.
THE ENEMY
The troops manning the Atlantic Wall were not amongst the Wehrmacht's finest but the seasoned Panzer Divisions waiting to push any invasion off the beaches were a force to be reckoned with.
THE ASSAULT
The invasion of June 6th, 1944.

The Germans counterattacked with their feared Panzer and SS Divisions, but was their initial hesitation to prove a costly mistake?
