Miriam:
I fall down before Him and kiss His
feet:
Oh the joys of those who put
their trust in Him!
He is more desirable than gold,
more sweeter than honey
dripping from a honeycomb.
Oh you maidens,
stand before your Lord in awe,
Lie still upon your bed in silent meditiation,
put your trust in your Lord
and offer Him pleasing sacrifices.
Open up,
O gates,
and let the King of Glory in!
He is your Lord:
strong and mighty,
invincible in battle:
yea, open wide the gates
and let the King of Glory in.
Worship Him with deepest awe.
Oh my sweet maidens,
in whom the Lord delights;
He has put His Spirit upon you:
He will be gentle;
He will not shout or quarrel,
He will not break the bruised reed,
nor quench the dimly burning flame.
He will feed it and fuel it to new heights;
He will encourage the fainthearted ,
He will not let Himself be satisfied,
He will give a great shout and prevail.
For a long time He will remain silent;
He will restrain Himself,
then He will give full vent to His Power:
He will groan and cry like a woman;
He will bring you further along the Sacred Path
than you have ever been before.
Son of Man:
Oh My chosen ones,
with you am I well pleased.
I will take away your clothes of mourning,
and give you festive garments to rejoice in.
Play joyous melodies upon the lyre
and on the harp,
and sing of your love for Me.
In My garden,
all is lush,
fruit grows in abundance,
and wonderful fragrance fills the air.
Here I will spread a wonderous feast for you,
with clear well-aged wine and choicest beef.
I will bring you quail,
and honey,
I will call down manna from heaven,
that you may be satisfied.
