Miriam:
This is our Lord for whom we have
waited,
and in whom we trust.
Now at last He is here.
For good men,
the path is not uphill and rough:
the Lord smoothes their way before them.
Son of Man:
I am your Lord:
I will come upon you like an earthquake,
I am the First and the Last.
I will give you abundant water for your thirst;
I will pour out My Spirit on you.
Tattoo upon your right hand,
the Name of your Lord;
for I have called your name and you are Mine;
I have blotted out your sins and they are gone,
like the morning mists at noon.
I am He who comforts you and gives you joy.
I have made a path between the roaring waves,
I have put My Word in your mouth,
and held you safe in My hand.
Miriam:
You who are thirsty,
come and drink;
seek the Lord while you can find Him:
call upon Him now while He is near.
Set up an altar, here beneath the trees.
Son of Man:
I am your Lord,
I will guide you,
and satisfy you,
and you will be like a well-watered garden.
I will be your delight:
I will see to it that you ride high.
Miriam:
Oh my Lord,
when You burst forth from the skies
and come down,
mountains quake in Your Presence.
The consuming fire of Your Glory,
could burn down the forests,
and boil the oceans dry.
You sweep me up.
Listen: hear how I call Your Name and plead for mercy.
The Truth has entered me,
sinks deep within me,
filling my life with joy.
I will sing you a song of My Lord.
The earth is radiant with His brightness.
My Lord is as the light of the morning:
a cloudless sunrise;
He is a rock,
filled with power;
like an obelisk,
a lofty tower;
He is a pillar of Holy Fire;
He is like the strong horn
of a mighty fighting bull.
And I called to my Lord,
"Show me Your strong love in wonderous ways."
My cries reached His ears,
and then the earth shook and trembled.
The foundations of the heavens quaked
because of His Power.
He shot forth His arrows of lightning,
and the Spirit poured out from Him,
and His Fire consumed my world.
