Miriam:
The Lord has blessed me
for I have done what is right,
and I am pure of heart.
My delight will be obedience to my Lord,
He will not judge by appearance,
false evidence,
or hearsay.
He will defend the Poor and the exploited.
He will be clothed with fairness and truth.
I will trust and not be afraid,
for the Lord is my strength and song;
He is my salvation.
Oh the joy of drinking deeply
from the Fountain of Salvation.
Praise Him,
tell the world about His wonderous love.
How mighty He is.
Son of Man:
I am your Lord,
the king of this earth,
come to Me and I will give you life.
The meek shall be filled with fresh joy,
and the Poor shall exult in the Holy One.
I will shelter you from the storm and the wind,
I will refresh you as a river in the desert;
and as the cooling shadow of a mighty rock,
within a hot and weary land.
I will stand up and show you
My power and My might.
Miriam:
Lo,
the dawn gives way to the morning's splendour,
- the radiance of my Lord
becomes even brighter.
Who may live in the Presence
of this All-consuming Fire?
All who are honest and fair,
who reject making profit by fraud,
who hold back their hands from taking bribes,
who refuse to listen to those who plot murder:
such shall be welcome.
Their eyes shall see the King
in all His beauty.
