Date: Feb 15, 1999. Orchard Hotel and Changi Airport.

We met Little Yuhui & Yingying (who stayed in the hotel lobby the whole nite!!!) in the early morning at abt 6.15am. We also met Xiaojing & Christine there as well as those international fans, again!!! They were so early too. They caught sight of the nice HK guy & asked him abt their Faye stuff. Just overheard he told them that everything had been returned the nite before. Later they came over & asked us if we collected anything on their behalf!!!

All the crew came down pretty early to be driven to Changi Airport. There's many, many luggages. DW came down 1st as usual, he's carrying the Pooh bear (we're so happy & touched that he remembered the Pooh bear & is in fact carrying it personally instead of stuffing it in his haversack) & we wished him a happy new year. Suddenly we decided to take a group picture with him & asked him if its ok, he said ok & we took 2 pics together again in the hotel.

I took the opportunity to pass him the 3 books I bought for Faye to him, just in case I missed Faye later in the chaos. I told DW, showed him the book as I explained to him "this is for Faye", he nodded his head, "ok, ok", "this is for you", showed him the 2nd book, he said, "oh, thank you", then the last book, "this is for Tongtong", "oh, ok, ok". Now I can rest in peace 'cos I'm very sure he'll pass the book to Faye. Hope they'll read the book on the plane, hehe.

All the band members came down by & by, Dou Ying came down by herself & we also wished her a happy new year, she made the same wishes back to us. Next is Zhang Yadong, he's really COOL & tall, actually he kinda looks better than DW, hehe. (& for a split moment, we thought abt the rumours of Faye & Yadong). He wish us back a happy new year too, he's kinda soft-spoken.

One by one, they came down & leave together on the big tour coach. Its almost 7am now & Faye is still not down yet. We were so worried for Faye, scared she'll miss her flight mah. Katie came down & we thought Faye is around, but nope, Katie left alone, not even with Ah Foon. We also wished Katie happy new year & she just said "all prosper together" in Cantonese, hehe, our Cantonese are bad & her Mandarin are bad but we understand all the wishes lah.

Hmm, funny, tick, tick, tick, the time flies, its almost 7.30am already & Faye still has not come down. Isn't she worried? Anyway, we heard a scramble of feet, & finally the maxicab drove up, ah, Faye finally coming down. We didn't shoot any pics 'cos I dun think Faye will like it. All of us wished Faye a very happy new year & she replied the same to us too. Security isn't very tight & this time Faye didn't really walk very fast (perhaps she's tired after last nite party?). I managed to walk right behind her & unconsciously, I tapped Faye very lightly on her right shoulder (she's very bony), she turned around (so did Angela who's walking on Faye right side & stared at me with those fierce eyes of hers) & I quickly told her "Faye, dun come back to S'pore in another 4 years time, its too long, come back at least twice a year!!!" She just smiled & walked on, to her cab.

All of us wished her a happy new year again when she's inside the car & rushed to the right hand window to wave her goodbye which she responded.

Then her maxicab sped off & so did we, we rushed to our cabs & went right after her, going to the airport too. This time her maxicab was going at 140 km/h, that's very fast, guess they must be hurrying for her flight. We reached the airport departure hall together. Her flight is SQ802 ETD 0855. She didn't come out of her cab immediately, the crew went to SQ express counter to do the check in for her. The security staff are not well co-ordinated here, they didn't know where to stop. They moved the cab up a little bit, still Faye didn't come out. However the door was opened, so we took the opportunity to talk to Faye fast. We passed 2 mandarin oranges to her & wished her a happy new year all over again with the customary handshake & she responded back exactly the same way.

Then, the cab moved up again & this time Faye came out. She was, as usual, heralded by the group of pple & as she was walking into the hall, she actually turned back, stopped for a split second, smiled & told us "ni men kuai dian hui jia shui jiao ba". (You all quickly go back home to sleep now). Wow, we're so touched. We dun think she's being sarcastic or angry 'cos if she is, she wouldn't have smiled? She's just like a big sister, (I wish Faye is my eldest sister), so caring & her speech is so lilting & sounds so nice. Hehe, everything she says sounds like a song, so pleasing to the ear.

Anyway, we thanked her & told her to have a good rest herself. We ran after her to the check-in counter. She's really happy to return home, 'cos her mood is extremely good, she smiled at all of us present, (we met the fayenatics at the airport), showed her passport to the security guard & she wanted to go in already when she was being reminded that she had forgotten her bag. She's so cute, she laughed shyly, took her bag, waved at us & went in. Her maroon shawl is in the opened bag.

DW, Dou Ying & Zhang Yadong were waiting for her inside. (They're really like a "big" family & she seems so at ease with them, of course lah, what am I thinking, hehe). She waved to us a couple of times when she's inside & we did the same until we can't see her. Then we all run to the escalators to the departure view gallery to catch her final view. Faye finally left S'pore!!! : (

I wrote this 'cos I wanna remember all the close encounters & experiences I've had with Faye. Its a very happy 5 days for me, as though I'm having a holiday myself. Guess this'll be the 1st & last time I do this actually. Dun actually know when Faye will be coming to S'pore again, earliest might be end of this year, if possible, if not, really dunno when.

We managed to take some Faye pics during these 5 days & made friends with more Faye fans. Besides the pics we gave to Faye, we've more that is not developed yet. Will see how everything turns out. Faye has really given us a very good CNY present!!!
