Carrefour has ALOT of stuff. Food, furniture, cd's plants. you name it. They have many stores throughout Asia but have not made it into the America yet. Consequently, they do not carry alot of American style goods but oterwise a good place to shop with several locations around Kaohsiung. |

Costco is a warehouse style American chain. They carry clothes, food and alcohol. Good steaks and bread. They also have ground beef which is hard to find. Like all warehouse stores they sell in bulk. A little advice though, if you see it, buy it. The stock constantly changes and it might not be there next time. Membership is required. |

Dollars has just about everything but their not a western store. Sleeping bags, dish soap deodorant, and alot of food gives you the idea of the mix they carry. You won't find taco shells but they have most everyday items. |

Another huge superstore that carries just about everything. They seem to have a good selection of clothing in larger sizes. Smart and Final is their U.S. version. |

- Makro

Makro is essentially a KMART but with more food. Not specialising in anything special they have most household items including furniture. They do not carry many western goods though and a membership card is required. |

- President Hyper Mart

Groceries, electronics (microwaves, TV etc.) and many household items. Not as cheap as Makro or Costco but no membership required! |

Easy to find because it has a big pineapple sign in front of it. Wolason'e is a restruant supply store and a has alot of hard to find stuff. Spices, grated cheese, pizza sauce and alot of frozen |
