Report Cards / Conferences Soon

Dear Parents,

As you know, report cards and conferences are right around the corner. If you haven't already done so, please stop by the school to schedule your conference time. Report cards will be sent home on Monday, November 3rd, just prior to conferences.

We've completed our CogAt testing and had our first reading test. We'll spend this short school week getting back to "normal." We will continue our story; Bet You Can't and we'll have our spelling test on Wednesday.

There's no homework assigned this week and I will not be sending home Friday Folders. Sticker Reading resumes and we'll start Writer's Workshop on Friday, November 7th.

Please visit our class website at:

New to our site are photos of our trips to Upland Hills Farm and the Fire Station. Our Student of the Month and class VIPs are posted on our Be An Angel page. The site also includes important information like our weekly spelling lists, our school calendar and lunch menus.

As many of you know, we honor saints rather than celebrate Halloween at OLR. The children are asked to dress up like a Saint for an All Saints Day celebration on October 31st. I'd like the children to know who they are dressed as and a little bit about the Saint. You can find information about Saints on the Parent page of our class website.

While we don't celebrate Halloween with costumes and such, we do enjoy a variety of Fall/Halloween activities and treats.

Have a Great Week!                                             Ms. Kopilchack

Now, for a look at this week's activities:
