Team History

The Attire

With turmoil comes change. The 1999 Glendale Diamondbacks are born-new name and many new faces. Management roles also change as Ken Hulse takes a co-manager position. The new team also has new uniforms, umm thanks Dave and Dave. In theory, it was believed we would look like the LSU baseball team. YES, in theory. No one can really explain how we looked like we did, kind of like we all enrolled in clown college but what we do know is we still had a solid team. With the past being the past the D-backs rolled onto a successful season with the help of an original Glendale Brave John Cook. He was our starting pitcher who confused most batters with every crazy pitch. We miss him being around but we understand he is now going postal somewhere so god bless ya John! Also new comer Brian Cody filled positions when available as a part time player but we knew he would join the D-Backs in full shortly as he was a major contributor from the start. Chris Bennitt, Scooter, Shawn Branstetter, James McGee, Truman Freshour and Randy Banner all made great new additions to the club. Shawn and James both were picked up at the draft while the other somehow talked someone into letting them play. We did finished well and made the playoffs but that exact info is not available at this time. It will be sometime soon...until then please look at the pics below.
