Director

      The director of the DHS Bands is Mr. Justin W. Love.  Mr. Love took over as director of bands in the fall of 2000.  Before coming to DHS, Mr. Love was the Instrumental Music Director for USD 214, Ulysses, KS.  Mr. Love holds a Bachelor's of Music Education Degree, with distinction from the University of Kansas. At KU, Mr. Love played trombone and was a member of several ensembles.  Mr. Love and his wife Bee, a horn player, perform in the Kansas City area as members of the Heart of America Wind Symphony and the Shawnee Concert Band.
